If you are receiving this error “The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.” while trying to install/update the theme, that means you are doing something not right.

Most probably you are trying to upload the full archive downloaded from Envato Market.

1. Instead, you should be looking inside this archive, and select the zip theme folder. This one you should be uploading.
2. Or just download only the theme installer zip file and use this file instead. Please check the screenshot below for better understanding:

This page can be used to understand how to update your theme, and it applies for each of our themes, published under SmartWPress account: JamSession Music WordPress Theme, Lucille Music WordPress Theme, Artemis WooCommerce WordPress Theme and Slide Music WordPress Theme.

1. Update via Envato Market

The easy way is to update the theme via Envato Market plugin – this can be done directly from your Dashboard.

Please navigate to Envato Market page and activate your Envato Connection – create a token, copy it here and click Save.

After you have successfully entered a token, you should see something like this. Click on Update Available and the theme will be updated.

Once the update is finished, the Update Available message will no longer be present, and the theme version will be changed.

But we will also have to update the plugins, that the theme comes with. For this, please go to “Plugins” and check if there is any message to update the theme plugins. Follow the instructions and update the plugins.

2. Update via FTP:

Download again the theme (installer package) from ThemeForest.
Unzip the theme installer .zip file and you’ll obtain slide theme folder.
Connect to your website via FTP and navigate to [wordpress install directory]/wp-content/themes/.
Copy your new slide folder over existing folder with the same name, on this location.

But we will also have to update the plugins, that the theme comes with. For this, please go to “Plugins” and check if there is any message to update the theme plugins. Follow the instructions and update the plugins.

Please check the instructions below:

1. Please navigate to SmartWPress Support System, located at the following URL:  https://smartwpress.ticksy.com/
2. Click on “SUBMIT A TICKET” button:

4. Verify the purchase from with Envato or simply insert the purchase code.

If you are getting the message Are you sure you want to do this?  when installing Lucille Music WordPress Theme, or any other WordPress theme, using the WordPress theme installer, most likely the web server is configured with low PHP settings.

Your web server is rejecting the upload due to the overall size of the installer .zip file. Please keep in mind that this is not a theme issue or bug, but a matter of server settings.

There are two ways to solve this:
1. Please send a support message to your hosting provider and ask them to increase your PHP limits so a larger zip file is allowed to be uploaded. They will know what has to be done in this case.
2. Install the theme via FTP.

The recommended limits for PHP are the following:

• max_execution_time 60
• memory_limit 128M
• post_max_size 48M
• upload_max_filesize 48M
