You can change the background for the entire website from Appearance - Customize - Colors.
Also, for a certain page, you have the option to overwrite the global option by settings a background for an individual page, from the custom meta box that you can find under the content area (just edit the page in normal mode and navigate below the content area)

I'm trying to find where all the little icons are sourced from, I want to be able to change or add a Whatsapp icon to my phone number fields so that people know they can contact us on Whatsapp. Is that possible? Can't find a single trace of them even on the Template's files.
Can you please send me a bigger screenshot, so I can see what is the theme template sowing that text?

I understand now, it is the contact details area. Do you want to have the WhatsApp icon near the phone icon? Or you want a new entry under the one showing the phone number? I would suggest the second option.
